Accessing Microphone Settings during a Call

To open microphone settings:

 
  1. On the in-call toolbar at the top of the screen, click or tap the Hear button.
     
  2. The "Hear" sub-menu will be displayed.

Muting Your Microphone during a Call

To turn "mute" ON or OFF for your microphone:

 
  1. Bring up the "Hear" sub-menu as directed above.
  2. Click or tap the Mute or Unmute button as appropriate. Make sure you select the button for the microphone.
     
  3. When you are finished, click the Back button to return to the main in-call menu.

Adjusting Your Microphone's Volume during a Call

To change the input volume of your microphone:

 
  1. Bring up the "Hear" sub-menu as directed above.
  2. Click or tap the Microphone volume button. Make sure you select the button for the microphone.
     
  3. Adjust the slider as desired.
  4. When you are finished, click the Back button to return to the main in-call menu.

Switching to a Different Microphone during a Call

To select another microphone that is already connected to your device:

 
  1. Bring up the "Hear" sub-menu as directed above.
  2. Click or tap the Change Microphone button. Make sure you select the button for the microphone.
     
  3. Your available microphones will be displayed. The currently selected microphone will have an orange icon and label on a lightened background. Click or tap the button for your desired microphone.
  4. When you are finished, click or tap the Home button to return to the main in-call menu.

    Shortcut

    Right-click on your video image and select Microphone. Then select your desired device.
